- Use the following story structure (1. Introduce the character. 2-3. Provide a bit of detail. 4. Character performs an action. 5-6. Provide a bit of detail. 7. Wrap things up).
- Only use 1 syllable words in the story except for custom words, character, setting, and character name.
- Use dialogue when possible
- The story should have an interesting plot with a sequence of clearly connected events (do not end the story with "the end")

Lesson 66 (Syllables)

Monty the bear cub went for a jog. He saw a log in the path. "Go, Monty, go!" he said. He did not want to stop. So he jumped on the log. "No!" he said as he slipped. Monty fell in the mud with a splash. He sat up. "So this is a mud bath!" he said with a wink. He sat in the mud and went "La, la, la!"

"Go, Monty, go!" he said. "No log will stop me!"

"So this is a mud bath!" he said with a wink.

He sat in the mud and went "La, la, la!" So much for his jog!
