- Use the following story structure (1. Introduce the character. 2-3. Provide a bit of detail. 4. Character performs an action. 5-6. Provide a bit of detail. 7. Wrap things up).
- Only use 1 syllable words in the story except for custom words, character, setting, and character name.
- Use dialogue when possible
- The story should have an interesting plot with a sequence of clearly connected events (do not end the story with "the end")

Steve the fox is on a hill. He sits on the green grasses. Steve has a big red sled. He tosses the sled on the hill. The sled dashes down the slope. "What a fun ride!" said Steve. He rushes down to get the sled. Steve will ride it twice. He has fun on the hill.

Steve has a big red sled so he wishes it was winter.

He tosses the sled up the hill. Steve will try it on the grasses. He perches on the sled and looks down the hill.

He pushes the sled and it dashes down the slope.

"What a fun ride!" said Steve. He pushes the sled back up the hill.

He has fun on the grass on the hill, but Steve wishes for winter and snow.
