The Thank You Walk

Beth and Mom take a walk on the path.

"It is a day to be thankful, Beth," Mom says as they stride.

"What is thankful, Mom?" Beth asks in a soft tone.

"It is when you say thank you for all the things you have in your life," says Mom.

Beth and Mom pass the swings and the slide.

"I am glad I have a safe and fun spot to swing. Thank you, swings!" Beth says.

They pass Ming on the phone at the bank. "Thank you for all your help, Ming," says Beth as she waves.

They walk up the slope of a big hill. "Thank you, strong legs!" Beth says with pride.

"We have the best luck, Mom," Beth states.

"We do have so much to be thankful for," Mom says with a wide smile.

At last, Mom and Beth get back home.

Beth stops at the gate. "One last thing to be thankful for," she says. "What is that?" Mom asks.

"You! Thank you, Mom!" Beth says as she hugs Mom close.
