Lane did like to ride her bike. She had a wide grin. Lane did drive her bike to the party. The party was at the hive. Lane did smile when she saw her friends. "Hi, Mike!" she said. Mike had a big pile of limes. The limes were ripe! "We can make lime sips!" Mike said. Lane did take a lime. The lime was fine. They had fun at the party.

Lane gets up with a smile and pulls on a pink dress with white stripes. 

It is the last day of class. The kids will have a big bash! 

Lane goes to the den. She sits with a plate of eggs and takes a bite. Then, she gets in the car.

Dad gets in on his side.  He goes to get the car on. The car makes a whine, then it stops. 

""Drive, Dad!" says Lane. "I do not want to be late on the last day!"" 

""The car will not drive," says Dad. "I will have to take it to Mike at the shop so he can fix it."" 

Lane's smile fades. "I have to get to class!" she yells. 

"You can walk," says Dad. "If I walk, I will be  quite late!" Lane yells back. 

Lane sits on the steps to think for a while. Then, she has a plan!

She goes in the shed and rolls back on a bike.  "I can ride my bike to class!" she calls to Dad.
