Cory the puffin looked at the ground. He had sowed seeds for a big sunflower.

But he saw no sprout. Cory felt disappointed.

"Will my sunflower grow?" he said with a frown.

His friend, a warthog, joined him. "What is the problem?" the warthog said.

"My seed will not sprout," said Cory. "I give it water.

I give it sun." The warthog pointed his tusk at the ground.

"Look!" he shouted.

A small green sprout poked from the mound of dirt. Cory was so happy he let out a loud shout of joy.

He would have the tallest sunflower in town. His friend was a big help.

Cory was very proud.
