Ace had a nice plate of rice.  He did not like rice.  “Yuck!” Ace said. He wanted a slice of plum.  Ace saw his dad. “Dad, can I have a plum, please?”  Dad said, “Yes, if you fix your rice.” Ace did not like rice one bit. He had an idea.  Ace fetched the spice. He put spice on the rice.  Ace took a small bite. “Wow!” Ace said.  The rice was nice and he ate it all up.  Dad gave Ace a big slice of plum.


"I wish I had a slice of plum," said Ace.

“Dad, can I have a plum?” asked Ace.  "Have your rice, and then I will get you a plum," said Dad.

Ace did not like the rice, but he had a plan!

He fetched some figs to dice up and mix in the rice. Then he mixed in a bit of spice.

Ace had a small bite. "Yum!" said Ace. "This rice is nice!"
