Jo the cow did a job at the hut.  She had a big job to do. "I must go," Jo said.  She had to go and get the bell. When she got to the bell, a hen was there. The hen had the bell!  "No, no, no!" the hen said.  Jo did not quit. She and the hen had a tug of the bell. Ding! The bell rang. Jo and the hen looked up.  He saw the big bell at the top of the hut. "So, we can go up," said Jo.  He and the hen went up to get the big bell.


Jo had a job to do. She had to bring a flag to Bob.

It was a big job. Jo set out on the path.

Jo passed a duckling. "Hi, Jo!" he said, but Jo did not stop. 

Jo was in a rush.  "I must go!" she said. "I have a big job to do, but you can go with me!"

Jo and the duckling dashed off. They passed the duckling's mom. "We have a big job to do, but I will be back!" the duckling said. 

Mom went to kiss the duckling, but he rushed off so fast that she missed.

Jo and the duckling crossed a pond. Jo held the flag up so that it did not get wet.

At last, Jo and the duckling got the flag to the grass. "Bob, I have the flag!" yelled Jo.

Bob was glad to spot the flag. "You are a pro, Jo!" he said. Jo passed the flag to Bob.

Bob held the flag up. Then, he yelled, "Ready, set, go!" and swung the flag fast!
