Patches ditched the pond and went on the path.

Patches got to a ditch. His pal, Mitch, was there.

"Mitch, I have a bad itch!" said Patches.

"Can you help?" Patches asked.

Mitch snatched the hat from Patches. Then, he switched hats.

This hat did not itch!

"Thanks, Mitch!" Patches said.
