Maple the squirrel was in the barn.  She thinks she lost a gem.  The gem was glinting.  It was big and bulging.  Maple digs in the hay.  She sniffs and sniffs.  She digs and digs.  She was upset.  Maple sits.  Hmm.  She thinks.  She saw a gist of the magic gem in the nest.  She hops up to the nest.  She sees the bulging gem.  Maple grabs the gem.  She is not upset.  She is willing to nap.


The gem was big, bulging, and had a magic glint.

She was upset. Kit sat on the sack. “Did I spot a gist of the gem?”

She did a quick jog to a nest.
She saw it. The gem was bulging out from the nest!

“Yes!” She had the magic gem. Now, she was not upset.
