Bill the snake lived in a big, hot hut. He hissed and puffed when he saw a big, fat grub on his mat. "I can fix this mess," Bill said. He grasped the grub and tossed it in a pan.  When it swelled up, Bill gasped! The grub jumped from the pan and thumped on his bed. Bill yelped and dashed to get his net.  He wished he had not puffed up so much! Bill tossed the net and trapped the grub.  He filled a tub with mud and dumped the grub in it. "This is much fun," Bill hissed, as the grub splashed and slumped in the mud.


Bill lived by the pond. It was hot, and Bill wished to bask in the sun on a raft.

Bill got a raft, but the raft was flat. "I must fill this raft!" yelled Bill.

Bill huffed and puffed. The raft swelled as it filled up. 

Pop! Bill yelped when he saw the flat raft.

He wished he had not puffed up the raft so much!

Bill got a pump to fix the raft. He pumped up the raft. It was fixed!

He jumped on top of the raft and basked in the sun!
