Nova Goes to Earth

Nova, the suited alien, zipped over the Earth. From the skies, he saw fields and cities. His goal was to study more galaxies and understand their properties.

Nova flew over a cornfield, and he decided that it was a good place to land and conduct his studies.

When his ship reached the ground, he spotted a little girl, Angie. “Can I help you?” Angie asked.

Nova tried to speak, but Angie could not understand him. He pointed up at the sky and then at his ship. "This ship must be how you got here. I wonder if you are from space," Angie said.

Then Nova pointed at his ship again. A piece of the shield from his ship broke off. He tried to show Angie the piece. “I see,” said Angie. "It looks like a piece of your ship is broken."

She looked at a box of supplies on her dad's truck and retrieved a wrench. With the wrench, Angie was able to help Nova fix the shield on his ship. Nova felt relief.

Nova gave Angie a rock from his planet. The rock glowed and looked like a cookie!

Angie smiled. "Thank you. This rock must have remarkable properties," she said. Angie felt like she and the alien were now buddies.

Nova got on his spaceship, waved, and zipped back into the skies, back to explore other galaxies.
