Kimber the otter was a smart star. She had a sharp star-shaped rock on her porch.  "I love stars," she said. Kimber went to the river.  She saw a fish.  Kimber was a stark seeker of fish.  The fish swam farther down the river. Kimber saw a big, dark scar on the fish. "What a sharp scar!" Kimber said. She did not chase the fish after she saw its scar.  Kimber hoped the fish would be safe.


Kimber the otter lived close to the river.

She was a smart critter with a love for smooth stones and rocks.

One morning, her pal Carl went to inform her of a star-shaped rock.  

Kimber made a chart with spots to look: the marsh, the mouth of the river, and the river ford. 

Kimber went to the marsh, but just found mud. 

Next, she went to the mouth of the river, but the river was gushing.

In the river ford, she saw a glimmer. She went into the river. "This must be it!" she said. 

When she got back to her home, she held up her rock for Carl.

"Look, Carl! I found the rock!" she said. 

Kimber likes smooth rocks and stones. Her pal Carl informs her of a star shaped rock. Can Kimber find the star shaped rock?

Kimber the otter loves collecting unique rocks near her river home. One day, her friend Carl tells her about a special star-shaped rock.
