Fran the fox saw two pools. She hopped past the first.

Then she saw some tadpoles. Fran gulped.

She did not plan to swim. She just stopped and looked.

The tadpoles zipped and flipped. Fran dipped one paw in the pool.

The tadpoles bumped her paw, then zipped past.

Fran poked one plump tadpole. The tadpole flopped!

Fran dropped it. "Eek!" she yelped.

Fran jumped and zipped past the pools. She saw grapes and plums.

"Yum!" she said. Fran picked a plum and nipped it.

It was perfect. Then, Fran peeked back at the pool. The tadpoles swam and flipped.

“Will they plop and hop like frogs soon?” she said. Fran grinned. “I will stop and check next time.”
