Shawn and the Prawn

It was dawn and Shawn the fawn stood next to the lawn.

Shawn saw a bug crawl on the moist grass.

There was a loud, "Caw!"

"Who is there?" Shawn said.

Shawn saw the hawk swoop and land next to him.

In its claw, the hawk held a prawn.

"Look at that prawn! Where did you get it?" Shawn said.

"It is not from this lawn, it is from the lake. The lake took time to thaw," said the hawk.

Shawn was drawn to the prawn.

"Can I look at the prawn?" Shawn said.

The hawk gave a yawn and let the prawn drop from its claws.

Shawn had not seen a prawn.

"Want to trade?" Shawn said "Can I trade this bug?"

The hawk gave a nod and said, "You can have it. I can go back to the lake and get another prawn."

"Aw thanks!" Shawn said. He was glad to have the prawn and had a plan to draw it.
