Kate the snake sat by the lake.  The sun made a hot shade. Kate had a date to skate.  Jake came late to the gate. "Why are you so late, Jake?" said Kate. Jake had a cake. "I had to bake this cake," Jake said. "Let's take a break and eat," said Kate.  They ate the cake by the lake.


The sun was hot. So, Kate went to the shade.

"I made the cake with grapes on top," Jake said.
