Juniper the cheetah loved the vast grasslands. Each day, she raced through the tall grass. Her feet barely touched the ground. One day, Juniper heard a creak. It was odd. "What was that?" she thought.

She saw a big, old tree ahead. Its trunk had a weak spot. "I must help," Juniper said. The tree needed saving. But how? She thought of her friends, the eagles. They could help.

"Please help!" Juniper called to the eagles. They swooped down. "We will," they said. Together, they leaned on the tree. It was unsteady, but they did not give up.

With a great push, the tree was saved. Juniper smiled. "We did it!" she cheered. Her heart was full of joy. The grasslands were safe again. The eagles beamed with pride. They had done a good deed. Juniper felt happy. She knew she had great friends.

Keagan sat at his desk with a big plan. "I will make a sign for Teacher Week," he said.  "The sign will be big to thank Miss Lee for all of the things that she teaches us."

Keagan was eager to get started. He got a wide sheet from his box and set it on the rug. He wrote in bold red: WE LOVE MISS LEE! "I will add stars," he said, reaching to grab the rest of the markers from his set.

But when he opened the box, he gasped. Where did all of my markers go? He dug in the bin and looked in his bag. They are missing!

Keagan ran to his sister and asked, "Bree, did you take my markers?" "Nope", she said, reading her book. He asked his dad, "Have you seen my marker set?"

Try looking in the den or the van, Dad said. Keagan zipped to the van and peeked under the seat. Nope. There was just some dust. He ran to the den. No markers there.

He sat on the rug. "Now what? I cannot make my sign in only black ink." Just then, his pal, Marcus, called. "Want to ride bikes?" he asked.

""I cannot. My markers are missing. I am making a sign for Miss Lee for Teacher Week," said Keagan. "I have a big set. Do you want to use mine?" Marcus asked." 

Keagan perked up and breathed a sigh. "Yes, that would help so much!" Marcus came by with a bunch of markers, stickers, and some pals to help. "Pick what you need," they said. 

Keagan, Marcus, and their pals made the best banner. They eagerly added the things that Miss Lee spent time teaching them about in the classroom: a beaver in a stream, some trees, a leaf, and the sun. When it was finished, they cleaned up.

The next day, Keagan held the sign up to his class. Miss Lee saw it and smiled. "This banner is so neat! Who made this?" she asked.

""We all did," Keagan said. Miss Lee gave him a hug and said, "You are all so kind. Thank you." Keagan looked at his pals and grinned, "I could not have made it without your markers and help.""

The kids hugged Miss Lee and said, "Happy Teacher Week!"
