One day, there was a loud sound. A storm was rolling in from the south.

The sky turned brown, and clouds started to form. "We must go!" Scout shouted to her pals.

They ran to the barn, but the gate was stuck. The wind kept it from opening. "We need to outwit this storm," Scout thought.

Scout put a rope on the gate. The cows got in line and grabbed hold of the rope. On the count of three, they all tugged the rope together.

The gate popped open! The cows rushed inside the barn just as the rain started to pound the ground outside. Inside, the barn was cozy.

The rain splashed, and the wind howled outside the barn. "We did it!" Scout said proudly.

The cows nodded. "You are very powerful, Scout," one cow said. "You kept us safe!"
