Abby the pony had a messy, mossy mane.  Her coat was muddy and dusty.  "Sorry, Abby," said  Maddy. "You look grumpy."  Abby was crabby.  She longed for a bath!  Maddy led Abby past the shady tree to the water. The water was choppy and cool. Abby splashed.  She had a happy, sunny smile. Now she was a shiny, silky pony.  Her tummy was full of yummy grass.  Maddy gave Abby a big hug. "Good pony," she said. Abby wagged her tiny tail. She was no longer a grumpy pony!  She was a lucky pony.


Abby the pony had a messy mane. Her mane was muddy and mossy. "Sorry, Abby," said  Maddy.

"You look grumpy!" said Maddy.  Abby was crabby. She wished for a bath!

Maddy led Abby past the shady pine to the water.
