Yasmin the skunk was in her den. She liked to hoard trinkets. There was a loud bang outside. Yasmin gasped and ran to look. A rabbit named Samir hopped by.

"Did you hear that?" Yasmin asked.

"Yes," Samir said, "It was a comet!" Yasmin was thrilled.

"Let us go see," said Yasmin.

They trotted up the hill. The comet left a trail of smoke. Yasmin felt the thrill in her spirit. "What a sight!" she said. Samir nodded with a grin.

Yasmin sat at her desk with a big red pad. She had a plan and an epic wish.

“I will make gifts that my pals can cherish for Valentine's Day!” she said. 

Snip! Yasmin cut a big pink shape and a big red shape. 

Yasmin gave a pink shape to her pal Erin and a red shape to her pal Yassir.


Erin gave Yasmin a big hug. “Yasmin, you are the best pal. Thanks!” Erin said. 


On the way back, Yasmin met a kid who sat on a bench. He was upset. 

“I am Yasmin. What is your name?” Yasmin asked. 

Yasmin gave the kid a shape and with a grin said, “Happy Valentine's Day!” 

Callum gave a grin back and said, “Thank you. This is splendid!” 

Yasmin felt the impact of the crafts that she gave. She felt glad. Happy Valentine's Day!
