Mag the bus sat in a big pit of mud.  It was a sad, sad sight.  Mag did not sob, but she did sag in the mud.  "If I sit and do not act, I will not get out," said Mag.  "I will not nibble on my bus seat.  I will not bat at a bug." 

Mag had an idea.  "If I honk, a pal will come!" said Mag.  "Honk!  Honk!  Honk!"  A big, fat cat sat on a log.  The cat did not budge.  A bug sat on a cob.  The bug did not budge.  A cub sat on a tub.  The cub did not budge.  

"This is bad," said Mag.  "This is so bad."  Mag had to act fast.  She had to think of a new plan.  Mag took a big, deep breath and said, "If I can get out of this pit, I will give everyone a ride in my big bus!" 

Just then, a pup, a pig, and a dog ran up to the big, muddy pit.  "We can help," they said.  The pup got a mug and dug.  The pig got a pan and dug.  The dog got a bin and dug.  Soon, the pit was not so big.  Mag was out of the mud!  "Hop on!" said Mag.  The pup, the pig, and the dog hopped on the bus.  Mag was not sad.  She was not in a pit.  She was on her way!
