Yasmin's Lost Snacks

Yasmin liked hopping in the sunny land. The sun was hot, and the ground was sandy.

One windy day, Yasmin felt odd. Her pouch was empty! “Oh no,” Yasmin said, looking all over. “Where did my food go?”

She thought she had hopped close to some big plants. Maybe the food fell there. Yasmin went back the same way.

As she hopped, the wind got strong, kicking up dusty clouds. It was hard to see. Yasmin saw a friend, a fox called Al.

“Did you see my food?” Yasmin asked. “Sorry, Yasmin,” Al said, “I did not see it, but I can help you look.”

They hopped in the sand, looking. The wind made it hard to talk, but they kept on.

Yasmin felt a bit grumpy without her food. She was very hungry. “Let’s try the rocky hill,” Al said. Yasmin nodded, hoping for some luck.

When they got to the top, the wind blew again. Yasmin looked hard and saw something shiny under some rocks. “Look, Al!” she said.

They rushed over. Yasmin's snacks were there, safe and sound.

“Thank you for your help, Al! The food must have dropped from my pouch, and the wind pushed it here,” Yasmin said with a grin. “Glad to help,” Al said. Yasmin put the food back and made sure her pouch was tightly shut.

The wind still blew, but Yasmin felt cozy knowing she had her food and a pal. As they went back, Yasmin saw the sun going down.

The sky was full of red and pink. Even with the wind, Yasmin felt happy to have a pal like Al.
