Cindy the Climbing Panda

In the middle of a bamboo forest, lived Cindy, the giant panda.

Cindy got energy from the danger and excitement of climbing bamboo. She loved to practice her climbing skills.

She was the oldest in her family, and she wanted to show her siblings how to climb. One day, one of her siblings dared her to climb the tallest bamboo stalk.

Even though Cindy loved to climb, climbing the tallest bamboo made Cindy feel scared. She was concerned about the danger of falling.

After a lot of practice, she decided to face the challenge. She decided that she would pace herself.

She told them, ''Climbing might be scary, but we are pandas. Climbing is part of who we are.''

Cindy then began her climb. Remembering that all eyes were on her, she climbed slowly. Her siblings clapped and she felt the magic of their energy and praises. With each step, she felt her confidence grow.

Halfway up, she felt a slight wiggle and paused. She felt afraid about the stability of the bamboo.

But, she managed to make herself stable again. She pushed her fear aside and decided to continue her climb.

She climbed higher and higher, pacing herself, until she reached the top.

From the top, she could see all of the bamboo forest, it was a wonderful sight.

She felt proud to complete her goal and was excited to share it with her siblings.

Once she was back on the ground, she told them about how she faced her fear by not giving up, and the magical sight from the top.

Cindy retold the story of climbing up the bamboo. Cindy chose to center her fear since she knew her siblings would also be afraid. Her siblings hung on every word. Then, one by one, they began to practice climbing too.

Cindy watched them with a smile, happy that she could help provide a safe space for them to practice and to face their fear.

In the bamboo forest, Cindy was not just a giant panda, she was a brave and caring big sister.
