Lesson 92 (Vowel Teams Review 2)

UFLI

Brad was a good athlete.  Evenings at the lakeside were his pastime.  He would watch the sunrise. The sunshine made him hopeful.  He did not dislike baseball.  One evening, Brad made a mistake.  His friend yelled, “Checkmate!” Brad felt hopeless. The ducks at the lakeside quacked.  Brad did not admire the ducks.  He felt homesick for his homeland. He missed his dad.  Brad was grateful for his lifelong friend.


Brad went on many trips to the lakeside. It was an impressive place. 

At sunrise, Brad would wake and have pancakes. 

Then, he would walk from his campsite to the lake. The sunshine on the water made him hopeful. 

Brad could spot wildlife at the lake, too. He would often see tadpoles in the water. 

Brad would also admire the pretty landscape each day.

In the evenings, Brad would step inside his tent and rest. 

He would camp at the lake until he was homesick. 

Brad knew his lakeside trips would inspire him for a lifetime.
